What is Skin Metabolism?

Skin metabolism is a series of biological processes in the epidermis and dermis, such as balanced cell turnover, collagen production, and repairing cellular damage.

A healthy skin metabolism refers to undamaged cell turnover. Damaged turnover leads to buildup of dead cells on the surface, causing duller, drier texture, and issues like breakouts, fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation.
